How Gantner.Meteo works
Gantner.Meteo continuously measures the environmental conditions that directly influence photovoltaic performance, including solar irradiance, temperature, wind and precipitation. These parameters are captured using high-precision sensors installed on a dedicated mast and module-mounted fixtures.
The collected data is transmitted to SCADA systems, data loggers or Gantner.IQX via RS485, Ethernet or fiber optics. Combined with plant operating data, this information forms the basis for accurate energy yield calculations, performance ratio analysis, digital twin models and fault detection.
Reliable meteorological measurements are essential for identifying performance deviations, validating contractual guarantees and maximizing energy yield throughout the entire plant lifetime.
