The pipeline, with its current capacity of 100 liters per hour, is designed to ensure that there is always enough fresh beer available at Gantner to maintain a high level of creativity and motivation among all employees. The project was very well received by the city of Zwönitz. "We are happy to make the municipal empty pipe system in the public transport area available for meaningful innovations," said Mayor Wolfgang Triebert at the opening of the pipeline.
The project was technologically very demanding: due to its overall length of 2.1 km, the beer had to be cooled and transported without loss. It was also necessary to prevent any loss of quality and to live up to the brewery's slogan "Drink beer where it is brewed". Two solar-powered pumping stations are used to overcome the height difference from the source to the consumer. Quality control is carried out using the Gantner.webportal and the AI integrated in the software.
This is a milestone in the history of the Erzgebirge and further proof of the innovative power of Gantner Instruments and the Zwönitz brewery.
